Banks and the 2019 2020 Bush fires

For those affected by the fires, the banks have set up Bush Fire help lines for their clients to call if there in financial trouble as a result of the fires.

If you’re stuck for mortgage repayments, or clearing the credit card – get in touch with your bank when you can to let them know to see if they can help by pausing payments, reducing interest etc.

This could be:
– If your house burned down
– You’re a volunteer firefighter and have been without pay
– Your stock (animals or plants) have been destroyed
– Any other reason you’ve been financially out of sorts due to the fires (talk to whichever bank you’re with)
